Modes of transport

There are always two factors involved when choosing a mode of transport: time and economics.
Where ocean freight usually takes longer for a lower price, air freight gets it there faster but at a higher price.

We can provide different possibilities, using different modes of transport and we offer advice on which one would be best for your shipment:

  • Ocean, by:
    • FCL (Full Container Load: all goods in the container belong to one party)
    • LCL (Less Container Load: when a single shipment is inefficient to fill a shipping container, it is grouped with other consignments for the same destination, sharing the container)
    • Ro/Ro (Roll on roll off: the vehicle gets rolled on and off the vessel, as opposed to being lifted onboard using cranes. Self-propelled products such as cars, tractors and other machinery, roll on and off the vessel on their own wheels)
  • Air
  • Trucking
  • Rail
  • Barge
  • Multi-modal (a combination of 2 or more of the above)
